Some people...

This whole online "social media" outlet (Blogs, MySpace, Facebook, etc.) allow people to just say what they want too. I guess that's good, but it can also be bad. It's changing society. People don't have to face anyone, confront anyone, deal with the consequences as they are safely hidden behind the other side of the keyboard and computer screen.

Why do you need to tell someone you're bored real-time? Why does it matter to others? Keeping up with friends as lives change and people do other things, I can understand that. An email is just as easy, but MySpace and Facebook allows you to see everyone's information all in one place. Is this an outlet for our young adults? Now they won't need to talk to their parents, the parents can just keep up with them online, reading their Facebook comments. Or even worse, parents not monitoring them at all. No need to "talk" anymore, just send them a text message or post a message on their page. Is this pushing the kids of this generation away and into a shell? They are losing social skills. Am I the only one thinking this? Hearing more and more about kids fighting over someone's comments online. See, there are consequences! And what about a parent secretly taking advantage of a young adult. This is someone that should know better. Lack of social skills or parental monitoring causes a kid to kill herself. Why??? I'm not even going to go into the predator and pedophile issues.

The youth today don't have to think about it, just post a message and it's done. They are not old enough to understand the ramifications of what might happen. They don't have the social skills.

Yes, I understand free speech and I know I'm using a blog right now. Someone needs to bring this up. Why now me?

Just a test

Just a test to see how this iPhone app works. Looks pretty cool.

-- Post From My iPhone

A new beginning....

It's been forever since I've posted anything. Wow. What have I been up too?

I'm sure I will still post my political rants from time to time. It still pisses me off.

I want to start a new direction and I'm trying to get back in the photography. I might post a picture or two from time to time. (since this is a "view" from Maryland, very appropriate!).

I have to get back to work but here's one of my favorite old pictures I took several years ago.

I call it "Storm coming"

A new "four letter" word.

Why is the word "politics" not one of those bad four letter words?

It must have something to do with politicians.

It's the root of a lot of evil. It's a bad word, period. I'm sure at one time it was a good word but that's all changed in my mind.

It been around since the beginning of time which doesn't make this any easier.

A lot of bad things get blamed on politics. Some in public view but most are not even talked about. It's that mumble said under the breathe, the unspoken word. Geesss, just look at Washington.

Don't get me wrong, there is some good in the word. But in my mind, all it takes is one "awe shit" political happening to kill ten good ones. And in Maryland, they won't even acknowledge that it's a "political" thing. I'll take about the Maryland press (newspaper and TV) later. I'm sick enough and I'm not ready to throw up yet.

YUCK!

Baltimore City..WOW!

The wild wild city of Baltimore. Why is it that no one (at least the politicians) wants to step up to the plate and fix our formerly beautiful city? We're national news for over murder rate. Our number are still going up and up. You have a "tempy" mayor that doesn't want to say or do the wrong think and I'm not sure she even knows what to do. Geesss, she doesn't even speak good (opps....well). She's lucky that the former mayor brought her along for the ride to become council president. Now she's Mayor of charm city and looks like she will be elected for the next go-around. Someone help us, quickly!!

Poor soon to be ex-police chief Hamm. Now it looks like the chief is out the door. He was the yes man, I meant to say fall guy. I appears that someone told him how and when to file police reports (or not as it seems was the case and still is) to make the numbers look good. No wonder the rank and file are not happy. How can he live with himself? He's the chief of police. This stuff just doesn't make sense. He just another political pawn here in Maryland who is soon to be an ex-chief.

When will an ex-politician get pissed enough to open that door? I want to see what's in the closet. Is there the fear of death hanging over these people? We're not in the 40's and 50's anymore. They are people just like you and I. Start pointing the finger, wave it if you have too. I'm watching.

Enough soap box for now.
